Cultural Translation and East Asia: Art, Film and Literature International Conference
This interdisciplinary and multi-national conference, hosted September 7th-8th 2012, was a highly successful and enjoyable event. We hosted speakers from Japan, South Korea, USA, Georgia, Australia, Malaysia, China, Taiwan and many other European countries. Keynote speakers included: Dr Ming-Yeh Rawnsley from SOAS, Nicky Harman, a professional translator of Chinese texts including Zhang Ling’s Gold Mountain Blues, Yan Geling’s Flowers of War and Han Dong’s Banished and Professor Masashi Ichiki from Chikushi Jogakuen University, Japan.
